The company was established in the 90s. It is a specialist travel wholesaler focused on the Mediterranean, Europe, UK and Ireland, Middle East, India and Latin America. From humble beginnings, the company has grown to be one of Australia's most respected travel wholesalers, offering travel arrangements in over.

Basically the company's mission is to be the specialist operator of first choice in all the markets in which we operate, and to ensure that such choice is based on the quality of our products, our service standards, the abilities of our staff and the business and ethical leadership of the Company.

Intern Duties

The purpose of the Product Support Team is to:
ensure documentation is prepared and released in a timely and accurate manner
support the product managers by organising the loading of tariffs to meet brochure release schedules
Ensure product is loaded correctly, accurately and within specific time periods

Primary function of the position:

The primary purpose of this position is to:prepare documentation accurately and within a timely manner
prepare and load date accurately
Provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally
complete general administration tasks as required

Major Responsibilities

Preparation and distribution of documentation (primary function)

Responsible for delivering accurate and high quality documentation to retail travel agents and consumers (via travcour or electronic) in a timely manner

Identify when there is a shortage of passes (e.g. museum, transport, B & B), maps and other destination material and notify the relevant Product Manager or Team Leader in order to have sufficient stock
Double check Temptation bookings and complete necessary checks on files, once final payment received.
Ensure documentation prepared and distributed adheres to specific brand standards.


Documents to be sent out at least 14 days prior to passengers departing Australia (subject to receiving full payment on file within reasonable timeframe).
Process a minimum of 20 electronic documents and 10 standard paper documents per day.
All files that have been double checked are required to be 100 accurate.

Rail documentation (back up)

Assist with the development of standard operating procedures in relation to the issuing of rail.
Responsible for delivering accurate and high quality rail documentation to travel agents and consumers (via travcour or electronic) in a timely manner,
Ensure documentation prepared and distributed adheres to specific standards
Continually recommend changes to procedure which will result with increased efficiency
Train other consultants as a back up support to the rail function to assist in absence or peak booking periods.
Recommend how the product can be brochured/promoted to travel agents.


Documents to be sent out at least 14 days prior to passengers departing Australia (subject to receiving full payment on file within reasonable timeframe). Process a minimum of x rail tickets per day.
All files have been checked and tickets are 100 accurate prior to release.
Timely ticketing/issuing and also re-issue costs due to internal errors etc to be kept to a minimum

Tariff Loading (back up)

Load rates, images, and documentation notes from tariffs supplied in accordance with Product Managers or Product Maintenance Managers written brief.
Balance accuracy with speed to ensure tariffs are well loaded to meet deadlines and quality control.
Question elements which appear to be illogical or inaccurate.

Maintain a full set of current tariffs, and archive full sets of noncurrent tariffs in hardcopy and electronic formats.

Learning and Development

Actively participate in training sessions to acquire new knowledge and apply it to the role
Ensure to keep up to date with changes to standard operating procedures and follow where necessary

General Administration

Maintain an organized work station and ensure filing is up to date
Completing other ad hoc duties as required

Technical Knowledge, Position Specific Skills and Experience

Certificate III in Travel and Tourism (highly regarded)
Experience either in a retail or wholesale environment
