Interns can start at any time. This is up for debate in the job interview. Duration of the internship is flexible but 5 months to 12 months is preferred.
Opdrachtomschrijving:The Events, Bookings and Administration Intern will be responsible for undertaking bookings and providing administrative support, helping with the general day to day to day running of the office, and supporting the events team as projects arise. This position will also provide support for events being coordinated by our company and may also require some marketing, telemarketing and creative input.
This challenging role will require a dynamic individual to liaise with a range of stakeholders including performers, professionals, government representatives, teachers and other arts organisations around Australia.
You will be working as a part of a small team reporting to the Events and Bookings Coordinators.
Kerntaken:=: Receive bookings and handle enquiries for the company from all over Australia
=: Keep the booking and enquiry information and databases up to date
=: Undertake general clerical office duties including answering the telephone, filing, faxing, word processing etc
=: Send/post booking forms and receive confirmation from schools and performers
=: Share all incoming calls and enquiries relating to our company
=: Assisting Bookings Coordinators in devising and implementing marketing strategies
=: Data base entry and management
=: Liaise extensively with performers and teachers regarding bookings and programs
=: Assist in managing interstate and regional touring schedules including booking accommodation and transport
=: Assist in the administration by maintaining weekly phone contact with artists and responding to all queries, adjustments and requests from clients and resolving issues.
=: Assist with event management and other agency bookings when required
=: Distribute copies of press clippings and performance reports to artists and appropriate stakeholders.
=: Attend our company workshops when necessary
=: Provide administrative support for the events team and company director when necessary
=: Support the bookings coordinator/administrator
=: Liaise with teachers, event managers, corporate bodies and media when necessary.
Vereisten:=: Be a confident and have a hands on mentality, bursting with innovative ideas and regularly contribute in brainstorms and ideas meetings
=: Help the team produce events that appeal to the target audiences and that gets talked about, raising the profile of the company
=: Have a creative and resourceful approach to researching items, (celebrity) guests and artists for the events and targetting advertisors and sponsors for funding of events
=: Be passionate about modern music and popular culture
=: Be fluent in English
=: Have a good knowledge of the target audiences consisting mainly of youthfull crowds and have bright ideas concerning identifying possible new interesting niches.
=: Be hard working, no-nonsense, goal orriented and have a flexible proactive approach to work and forward planning
=: Innitiative and enthusiasm and independent submission of creative programming ideas
=: Be able to work both independant and as part of an event production or marketing team

Some opportunities may arise for interns to travel in the capacity of assistant touring managers across Australia. All travel and accommodation expenses will be paid.
Intern Work Hours: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Position reports to CEO and Events and Bookings coordinator. The successful applicants will occasionally be required to work on weekends and after normal business hours.
