Because of the growth of the company there is opportunity for one or more interns that are willing to work hard, can add value and present a fresh points of view on our business.
Interns can start at any time. This is up for debate in the job interview. Duration of the internship is flexible but 5 months to 12 months is preferred.
Opdrachtomschrijving:The public relations intern will assist in the following activities:
=: Media relations Ã¢â‚¬â€œ developing media releases, liaising with local and metropolitan media outlets, writing articles and securing editorial and photo opportunities
=: Community relations/funding Ã¢â‚¬â€œ assisting with the research and development of funding opportunities for various programs and projects
=: Publicity and promotion Ã¢â‚¬â€œ creating awareness about the various programs delivered by the company

=: Newsletters and regional brochures;
=: Research, develop, prepare and distribute various communications materials to support the promotion of regional services, core programs, stakeholder and corporate partnerships;
=: Develop, maintain and effectively manage media networks;
=: Effectively manage contracts for outsourced marketing, promotional or public relations activities to meet service and program objectives including liaison with printers and graphic designers;
=: Develop, implement and analyse market research activities to guide marketing strategies and tactics;
=: Assist with the preparation of grant applications, funding submissions, corporate partnership proposals, acquittals and related reports;
=: Develop and maintain efficient administrative systems to support and extend relationships with stakeholders, corporate partners, and constituents;
=: Maintain database of key organisational and general contacts to ensure the appropriate distribution of marketing materials;
=: Update internet information
=: Assist in coordination of events and promotions;
=: Provide marketing assistance as required by the Manager - Marketing and Development.
=: Excellent existing relationships with the print and electronic media, locally and nationally, in particular arts editors and journalists
=: Relevant industry experience, preferably within an arts environment
=: Excellent literacy, writing, editing and proofing skills
=: An understanding of contemporary marketing, communications and promotions principles and practices
=: Ability to manage complex tasks, challenging projects and competing deadlines concurrently
=: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
=: Strong planning, organizational and administrative skills
=: Demonstrated initiative and the ability to think creatively and strategically
=: Collaborative working style with an ability to work within a team in a hands-on capacity to achieve individual, team and organizational goals
=: Good humor with a positive and enthusiastic outlook

Some opportunities may arise for interns to travel in the capacity of assistant touring managers across Australia. All travel and accommodation expenses will be paid.
Intern Work Hours: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Position reports to CEO and Events and Bookings coordinator. The successful applicants will occasionally be required to work on weekends and after normal business hours.
